About Me
My Education
I received my college education in the field of Child Development and hold both a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Arts degree in that subject. For over 25 years, I have worked in various Early Childhood programs as preschool teacher, director, multi-site supervisor, consultant, and college instructor in Human Development. During that time, I dedicated my career to my passion: giving children a voice. That passion has evolved into giving animals a voice.

My Experiences
For over 30 years, I have studied and participated in spiritual and metaphysical work, becoming aware of my gifts of intuition and healing ability. In 1981, I studied healing work under the mentorship of June Schmitt, R.N. and psychic healer, at the Thomas Institute of Metaphysics in Los Angeles, California. In an effort to further develop these skills, I have attended classes, workshops, studied and read many books on spirituality as well as various topics about animals. More recently, I earned a certificate as a Reiki Practitioner and offer healing with animals as well as with humans. I have also received a certificate in Theta Healing. With my extensive background working with children and families, it was a natural and easy transition for me to apply my knowledge of Human Development to animals and their human families.
Having grown up with various pets, it was also natural for me to apply my intuitive and healing abilities to animals. Since 2005, I have been communicating with animals and, when needed, applying the healing art of Reiki and incorporate the modality of Theta Healing.

One of my passions is to volunteer my services with groups such as the German Shepherd Rescue of Orange County, Capistrano Animal Rescue Effort, and I am an active supporter of the South County Animal Shelter Coalition.
In June 2007, I presented the topic "Understanding Your Pet Through Communication" when I was invited to be guest speaker at the Annual Picnic for the Pet Therapy Program of Saddleback Memorial Medical Center in Laguna Hills. I have also been called in consultation by other animal professionals from veterinary medicine, equine chiropractic, equine massage, and the healing treatment of acuscope therapy.
