Communicating with Animals

In a consultation (also called a "reading"), I telepathically connect with the energy of the animal, using my intuitive skills:  clairvoyance (seeing images in my mind's eye), clairaudience (internally hearing words), and clairsentience (feeling the emotions and/or any physical conditions).  The only information I request before the reading is the animal's breed, color, age, gender, and how long the animal has been with the owner.  It's always wonderful to personally meet with my animal clients, but I am able to communicate effectively with any animal who may not be in my presence.

A typical reading with me offers pet owners an opportunity to get answers to questions about their pets, in order to identify sources of unacceptable behavior, to clarify or gain insight into unresolved health concerns, to address emotional issues, and to find comfort if there is grieving over the loss of a beloved pet.  It is my goal to provide animals with a voice, to help animal lovers better understand their special relationship with the animals in their lives, and to raise awareness about animals and their needs.  Communicating with animals truly offers a chance to deepen the bond beween animals and their "people."

Animal Healing

  Another aspect of my work is healing, which often arises from what the animals tell me or from requests from the pet owners.  For physical, behavioral, or emotional issues, I offer a healing modality called Reiki (also known as "energy healing" or "universal life energy") -- done in person only.  As noted in the book Animal Reiki, by Fulton & Prasad, "Reiki can be used to maintain health and energetic balance in a healthy being, to heal illness, injuries, emotional and spiritual problems, and to ease the transition between life and death."  It is important to remember that Reiki can never be harmful and can support the work of other alternative treatments for animals.

Depending on need, I also utilize Theta Healing, which is an energy healing modality, founded by Vianna Stibal (for more info on this, visit thetahealing.com).  From this meditational process is physical, psychological, and spiritual healing with focused prayer through the Creator.  This type of healing can be offered in person or long-distance.

Before and After the Loss of Your Pet/Grief Counseling

One of the greatest joys in life is having a special relationship with an animal companion!  But losing a beloved pet can be one of the most emotionally difficult experiences animal lovers will ever go through.  I know -- it happened to me.  On January 31, 2002, I was faced with the unbearable decision to put down my sweet Spaniel/Setter, Corky.   I had never been in this position with any previous pets, for various reasons, and in making this call, I felt alone and confused.  While my vet, a few friends and family were sympathetic and understanding, I had no one to turn to for solace or guidance. The sadness and grief I felt left me in mourning for a very long time.

Since I began my work with animals and their families, I have made it a priority to offer pet lovers the chance to hear from their pets directly, through my communication with them, about their transition into spirit -- before or after -- and to help people gain undestanding and find closure with this loss.  Hearing how your pets feel about their lives, their experiences, and their transition to the other side will never replace the feeling of loss, but my clients report that this information  definitely offers a feeling of relief and comfort that their beloved friend is at peace.

For a private reading and/or healing session, I am available to personally visit with pet owners only in the Orange County, California area.  If you are out of this area, I offer readings via the phone, at a time agreed upon by both of us (with pre-payment sent to me prior to the appointment time); you are also encouraged to send photos!

Current Fees:  (rates effective 5/1/09)
           $60 per animal for up to 30 minutes 
           $100 per animal for 30-60 minutes 
           $50 for each additional animal (same session, up to 30 minutes only)
           $30 per animal for "checking in" (returning clients only)
    
           $75 initial healing session per animal (in-person only); $60 for 2-3; $55 thereafter
           $45 long-distance healing (15-minute session)

Additional travel fees will be added for in-person consultations, depending on distance.

NOTE:  All services -- intuitive readings and energy healing -- are also available for human clients.
